Winnipeg beat Montréal 5–4 in overtime at Bell Centre on 3 November, according to the NHL’s official completed game record. The Jets had trailed 4–0 early in the third period.

Four goals in 2:06

Owen Beck and Josh Anderson scored in the first period for Montréal. Cole Caufield added one in the second and another 46 seconds into the third to make it 4–0.

Tyrel Bauer began Winnipeg’s response at 17:21 of the third period. Morgan Barron followed at 18:03, before Kyle Connor scored at 19:00 and again at 19:27. Those four goals arrived in a span of two minutes and six seconds, turning a four-goal deficit into overtime.

Samberg completes the turnaround

Dylan Samberg scored the winner 3:30 into overtime. Our reading is that the defining feature was the concentration of Winnipeg’s regulation scoring: Montréal’s lead survived until the final three minutes, but the Jets needed just 126 seconds to remove it. The official sequence establishes that turnaround without requiring a claim about its historical rank.
