Club Brugge beat PSV Eindhoven 2–1 at Philips Stadion on Wednesday 4 November. ESPN’s completed Champions League match record confirms the result.

Brugge lead, PSV respond

Nicolo Tresoldi put the visitors ahead in the 25th minute. PSV levelled through Kodai Sano in the 54th, but Carlos Forbs restored Brugge’s advantage in the 65th minute.

The response that decided it

PSV’s equaliser reopened the contest, but the home side had only 11 minutes at parity before Forbs scored. Brugge’s ability to regain the lead, rather than settle for protecting a point, was the decisive change in the scoring sequence.

The result leaves PSV to assess a match in which their second-half recovery did not become a sustained advantage. For Brugge, the away win rewards a second attacking response after the first lead had been lost.

The pre-match context

Before kickoff, Peter Bosz had highlighted Brugge’s attacking full-backs and inward-moving wingers in PSV’s official preview. Those comments framed the tactical challenge; the verified scoring record establishes how the match was ultimately decided.
