Two second-half finishes settle it

Juventus beat Napoli 2–0 at the Allianz Stadium on 1 November. Kerim Alajbegovic opened the scoring in the 70th minute with a left-footed effort from outside the box, assisted by Edon Zhegrova. Jérémie Boga added the second in the 87th minute, also from outside the area, following Andrea Cambiaso’s pass. The completed ESPN event record confirms full time. Juventus generate more attempts

Napoli had 51.3% possession, but Juventus led 18–8 in attempts and 4–1 in shots on target. Our reading is that the balance of the ball did not translate into an equal balance of shooting opportunities. Juventus generated more attempts and ultimately supplied the decisive finishes.

The timing qualifies that conclusion: it was still goalless until the 70th minute. The final margin reflects a breakthrough and a late second goal, rather than a lead maintained from the opening exchanges. The match data does not by itself explain every tactical cause behind that difference.

The next league assignment

Juventus visit Fiorentina on 8 November at 20:45 CET (19:45 UTC; 21:45 CAT), according to the club’s confirmed programme. The home victory supplies the result to assess before that away test.
