Bournemouth won 3–1 at Sparta Prague on 5 November, overturning a first-half deficit through goals from three substitutes.

The comeback took time

Ebrima Singhateh put Sparta ahead in the 35th minute. The hosts subsequently lost Tobias Guddal to a red card, but Bournemouth still trailed at half-time.

Tyler Adams equalised in the 57th minute. Evanilson put the visitors ahead in the 81st, and Rayan added the third in the 90th. UEFA’s official roundup identifies all three scorers as substitutes and confirms that Bournemouth remain on maximum points in their first European campaign.

What the bench changed

Our analysis: the numerical advantage created an opportunity, but the scoring sequence shows that it did not settle the match by itself. Bournemouth needed a second-half equaliser and then waited until the final ten minutes to take the lead.

The three scorers make the substitutes’ contribution the clearest feature of the result. Adams restored parity, Evanilson changed the outcome, and Rayan added a margin that the visitors had not enjoyed during most of the contest. The final score therefore reflects a sustained recovery rather than an early, comfortable advantage.

The win extends Bournemouth’s perfect league-phase start. It does not establish a final table position or confirm qualification.
