Osasuna host Athletic Club at El Sadar on Saturday, 7 November, at 18:30 CET (17:30 UTC; 19:30 CAT). Both clubs’ official information confirms the local kickoff.

The squad available

Osasuna named 23 players on Friday. Jorge Herrando, Aimar and Del Castillo are unavailable, according to the club’s announcement. Budimir, Kike Barja, Raúl, Moro and Dubasin are the five players listed in the forward group.

The balance Arrasate wants

In his pre-match briefing, Jagoba Arrasate described Athletic under Edin Terzić as increasingly direct, with players capable of carrying the ball and attacking depth. He wants Osasuna to press and play in the opposition half, while taking care over the space left behind.

Our analysis: the key is what follows an Osasuna attack. Completing moves and keeping cover behind the ball would help the hosts maintain pressure without offering Athletic the open spaces their coach warned about.

That makes the quality of the press more informative than its frequency alone. Watch whether Osasuna’s players can close down together and protect the next pass if Athletic escape. The squad announcement establishes the available group; it does not confirm the starting formation or who will lead that pressure.
